In addition to the recently released LVPECL version, Fox Electronics introduce an LVDS version of its next generation ultra precision oscillator technology, XpressO-ULTRA. Designed to meet today’s intense bandwidth requirements that need ultra precision timing technology, the oscillator provides exceptionally clean and stable clocking to ensure better performance and lower bit rate errors.

The ultra precision oscillators, which come in either 2.5 or 3.3V, with its Ultra Low Jitter as low as 100fs over the 1.875-20MHz bandwidth and 250fs over the 12kHz-20MHz bandwidth, can be used on a number of modern electronics that employ extremely demanding data speeds of 40-100G Ethernet, 16-32G Fibre Channel and 100-400G Optical Transport Networks, as well as others.

Operating over temperature ranges from -20 to+70°C and -40 to +85°C with stabilities as tight as ±20ppm, the ultra precision oscillators come in an industry standard 5x3.2mm package and pin-out. A tri-state enable/disable feature allows for testing and performance verification. The RoHS-compliant units offer a gold over nickel termination finish.

Fox’s LVDS XpressO-ULTRA oscillators employ the cost and time saving design process as the company’s groundbreaking XpressO technology. A new proprietary ASIC family, developed by Fox, with a 4th order Delta Sigma Modulator (DSM) that significantly reduces noise to levels comparable with traditional bulk quartz and SAW oscillators. The ASIC family enables the configuration of output type, input voltages and frequency within the oscillator.

Delivered in less than two weeks at an exceptionally low cost, XpressO-ULTRA oscillators offer low noise, a wide frequency range and excellent performance for high bandwidth data applications. Each XpressO-ULTRA oscillator is outfitted with a unique serial ID to track every aspect of the manufacturing process for exceptional quality assurance.

Pricing is dependent on frequency, stability, operating temperature and quantity.
