Compact watch crystal measures just 1.6x1.1x0.5mm
Measuring just 1.6x1.1x0.5mm, Fox Electronics has announced the introduction of its most compact watch crystal. Although smaller in size, the FX161 crystal operates at many of the same high standards as previous models, making it one of the most efficient tuning forks yet. The crystal’s ultra-low profile and exceptional performance optimises the minimal space available in many portable and handheld applications, including wearables.
Fox expands range of 3.3V oscillators available from stock
Fox Electronics has announced that it has greatly expanded its line of off-the-shelf 3.3V crystal oscillators available directly from its distributors. The stocked options now include both high-performance versions, operating from -40 to +85°C with stabilities as tight as ±25ppm, and low cost oscillators, with a temperature range from -20 to +70°C and stabilities to ±50ppm, in sizes down to 2.0x1.6mm.
HCMOS oscillators meet AEC-Q200 requirements
In order to meet the advanced clocking requirements in modern vehicle systems, Fox Electronics has expanded its XpressO product line to include three sizes of automotive-grade, HCMOS oscillators featuring the same exceptionally low jitter as the rest of the series. These models conform to AEC-Q200 requirements, making them suited for automotive applications.
Fox releases updated oscillator brochure
Fox Electronics has published an updated XpressO brochure which includes the full line of XpressO-ULTRA oscillators. These devices provide improved phase noise and reduced jitter for modern high-speed data transmissions with rigorous requirements such as 40 and 100GbE WAN/LANs, 16 and 32Gb fibre channel, 6 and 12Gbps SAS/SATA storage and high speed OTNs.

An oscillator which operates between -40°C to +85°C has been introduced by Fox Electronics. The 1.8V XpressO-ULTRA provides stabilities as tight as ±20 ppm and a frequency range of 0.016 MHz to 62.5 MHz, with a frequency resolution to six decimal places.

New Fox OCXO with stabilities as tight as ±5 ppb
Fox Electronics have today announced a new series of surface mount Oven-Controlled Crystal Oscillators. The FTM series OCXOs are intended for applications as the timing reference for network synchronization. At 5 MHz to 40 MHz and from -40°C to +85°C, the new oscillator provides a standard stability of ±10 ppb. Dependent upon operating conditions, the FTM oscillators can offer stabilities as tight as ±5 ppb.

Fox Electronics Unveils New Crystals Operating over Extended -55°C to +125°C Temperature Range
Fox Electronics has enhanced its HC49 line of low-cost resistance weld crystals with two versions that maintain stability and tolerances across an extended temperature range of -55°C to +125°C. The SMD HC49SDLF and thru-hole HC49SLF offer frequencies from 3.2 MHz to 80 MHz in the same compact 14 mm x 5 mm package with maximum heights of 4.5 mm and 3.6 mm, respectively.
