No battery required: Tactile switch uses energy harvesting
The SPGA series from ALPS, a tactile switch that needs no battery or accumulator thanks to energy harvesting techniques is available from distributor Avnet Abacus. Based on magnetic induction technology, the modules measure just 17.5 x 23 x 17.9 and supply 170 µJ with every touch.
DIP switch provides low-cost option for logic and control application
C&K has announced the launch of its new SDB DIP switches. The new DIP switch provides product designers with a cost-effective solution for applications that require a low-profile switch for space savings on PCB layouts. The SDB DIP switch has a high operating life cycle under load and comes in thru-hole or surface mount models with additional tape and reel packaging available.
Smallest switches current with a single atom in solid electrolyte
Being „The Research University in the Helmholtz Association“, KIT creates and imparts knowledge for the society and the environment. It is the objective to make significant contributions to the global challenges in the fields of energy, mobility and information. For this, about 9,300 employees cooperate in a broad range of disciplines in natural sciences, engineering sciences, economics, and the humanities and social sciences.
SPDT high power PIN diode RF switches with reflective designs
RF, microwave and millimetre wave product provider, Pasternack, has unveiled a new line of SPDT high power PIN diode RF switches that offer desirable performance for transmit and receive signal routing applications.
KSC PF switch to provide potting-friendly solution
C&K has launched its new KSC PF switch, aimed at giving designers a next-generation switch solution that is compact yet resilient to water ingress – and made to be potting friendly. Designers of applications in the automotive and medical device industries often need to ensure that the switches and components they use can withstand harsh environments – including liquids that could leak in during everyday use, or during the aft...
Inductor boasts frequency range up to 5MHz
The first device in its new IHSR series of high temperature commercial inductors has been released by Vishay Intertechnology. Designed for multi-phase, high current power supplies and filters in computer, industrial, and telecom applications, the Vishay Dale IHSR-4040DZ-51 offers a 50% reduction in DCR over typical power inductors and a 20% or greater profile reduction over similar ferrite products.
UL 508 certification for eight photorelays obtained
It has been announced that Toshiba Electronics Europe (Toshiba) has obtained approval to the industrial safety standard UL 508 and the UL product category NRNT for a total of eight photorelay products. The devices are also UL 1577 compliant and approved for use as industrial control switch and as solid state control devices for non-motor rated loads.
High current photorelays in DIP4 package
It has been announced that Toshiba Electronics Europe (Toshiba) has launched two new high current photorelays that are fabricated using the latest U-MOS IX semiconductor process.
GaN switches for high power densities
It has been announced that Finepower, a distribution specialist for power electronics, is adding semiconductor products from the GaN specialist VisIC Technologies to its product range.
