Largest iLCD available with projected capacitive touch panel
demmel products has expanded its product line. The 10.2" iLCD is now available with Projected Capacitive (PCAP) touch technology. All capacitive iLCD models from 5.0 to 10.2" are now suited for operation in rugged environments where vandal-proof or edgeless designs are necessary.
As with the smaller capacitive iLCDs, the DPP-C102 employs the Projected Capacitive (PCAP) multi-touch technology. Configuration parameters allow activation of up to five simultaneous touch points and consideration of application-specific capacitive couplings.
Capacitive iLCDs can be mounted directly just like those with resistive touch screens, but installation behind glass of up to 4mm thickness is also possible. Cover glass provides increased protection against damage and facilitates edgeless surfaces for environments with special requirements concerning hygiene and cleanliness.
Optionally, demmel products offers optical bonding of the display components leading to an even better mechanical robustness and readability in sunlight.
The capacitive touch displays are fully compatible with all iLCDs across the entire product line which include other common features such as the on-board Java Virtual Machine. The DPP-C102, like the other iLCDs, features the fast DPC3090 processor and 128MByte of flash memory on board.
Setup, configuration and management of all functionality including PCAP is easy with the iLCD Manager XE, demmel’s free Integrated Development Environment (IDE). Existing touch applications can be re-used without any modification when the standard single touch mode is activated.
