Plasma processing for flexible electronic PCBs & substrates
Enabling a rate of as much as 200 units per hour (UPH) for the manufacture of flexible electronic PCBs and substrates, Nordson MARCH introduces its FlexVIA-Plus Plasma Treatment System. The system delivers single-stage plasma processing - including etchback and desmear - of up to 30 panels (panel size 500x813mm or 20x32") per cycle.
Sensor detects & captures packages travelling at rapid speed
An ultra-high-speed vision sensor, which addresses the needs for the inspection and alignment of packages traveling at very rapid speeds, has been developed by CSEM and BOBST. A miniaturised optical sensor that is able to capture color images in a flash (800,000 lines per second), enables the device to capture an accurate image of components that are moving extremely fast.

Essemtec announces next-generation storage tower
At SMT 2014 in Nuremberg, Essemtec has introduced its next-generation storage tower, CUBUS. It features user-adjustable shelves that can be varied in 5 mm steps and are auto-configured. Thus reels in the range of 8-72mm are easily accommodated. The shelves occupy either two small 7" reels or one 13 or 15" reel, further optimising packing density without compromising flexibility. It can store 5-6 reels per minute.
Tester combines power cycling & thermal transient measurements
Designed for power cycling and thermal testing of electronics components to simulate and measure lifetime performance, the MicReD Industrial Power Tester 1500A has been launched by Mentor Graphics Corporation. The MicReD Industrial Power Tester 1500A tests the reliability of power electronic components that are increasingly used in industries such as automotive and transportation including hybrid and electrical vehicles and tr...
