What makes M-506 stands out is it supports up to 1280 x 860 LCD with touch screen and four high speed USB 2.0 ports. M-506 is pre-installed with Linux 2.6.38 OS, busybox utility collection, lighttpd Web server, and various hardware device drivers. The GTK+ tool kit and qt4 embedded are also included to provide a user-friendly environment for the graphic user interface. M-506 also provides flexibilities in peripheral expansion by integrating one 10/100Mbps Ethernet, four USB 2.0 hosts, three RS-232 ports, one RS-422/485 port and LCD TTL/LVDS interface. The GNU C/C++ cross compiler is included in the development kit, allowing users to develop their application software in PC without the need to learn and purchase extra commercial developing tool.
