Strong Performance on cPCI PlusIO with 3rd Generation Intel Core i7
Based on the latest Intel Core i7 platform, the F22P offers a strongly improved graphics performance and higher computing performance while having a similarly low power consumption. Being another member of the scalable CompactPCI and CompactPCI PlusIO family, the SBC sports the same robustness and flexibility as its predecessors.
For Long-Term Availability through Backwards Compatibility
The Intel i7-3615QE quad core processor reaches a base frequency of 2.3 GHz and a Turbo Boost frequency of 3.3 GHz. Its excellent graphics and high computing performance make the F22P a good match for applications in the industrial area, in avionics and space technology, medical engineering and transportation or for demanding graphics applications in general. Alternatively, other CPUs of the i7 series can be assembled.
The front of the board makes VGA graphics, two Gigabit Ethernet and two USB 2.0 available. Additional functions like digital video interfaces via DVI, a multitude of UARTs, USBs, SATA or HD Audio can be attached through the connection of extension cards.
The front-panel layout and also the uniform pin-out and placement of its extension card connector make the F22P backwards compatible with all predecessor models complying with PICMG 2.30 (F19P, F21P) and PICMG 2.0 (F18, F17, F15, F14). Equipped with special components of the Intel Embedded Line, the F22P has a guaranteed minimum availability of 7 years. Thanks to MEN's family concept, a system can easily be upgraded using successor SBCs based on the latest Intel processor platform, ever extending the life cycle of the system solution.
The DDR3 DRAM memory with a size of up to 16 GB and ECC functionality is firmly soldered against shock and vibration. In addition, an mSATA disk and a microSD card connected via USB give the board almost unlimited memory space for each application.
Different watchdogs for monitoring the processor and board temperature, as well as a Trusted Platform Module top off the functionality of the F22P, which is shipped with board support packages for Windows and Linux.
With its robust design, the 3U CompactPCI PlusIO computer cuts a good figure in extreme environmental conditions. All components are soldered to withstand shock and vibration and are prepared for conformal coating against humidity and dust.
