BVM has updated its selection of PMC mezzanine cards, a well-established and proven technology for adding additional capability to VMEbus and CompactPCI systems. The most popular modules provide easily implemented interfaces to external hardware. The PMCUSB2 is a 5-port USB module that gives three USB2.0 ports at the front on the card and two at the rear. The PMCSATA module provides two independent interfaces for hard disks; the PMCCF2 is a CompactFlash and IDE Controller supporting up to 1 GB of removable non-volatile memory on two CompactFlash cards, giving removable storage and boot capability for many different operating systems.
The PMCDIO32CC is an opto-isolated, conduction cooled I/O card with 16 input and 16 output 32-bit channels, complete with an integral programmable input de-bounce timer, change of state interrupt generator and a programmable watchdog timer with interrupt. Other functions available include Firewire IEEE1394, SCSI, and Ethernet.

Designed for rugged implementations, the PMC specification combines the electrical characteristics of the PCI bus with the mechanical dimensions of the IEEE 1386 Common Mezzanine Card.
