Official distributor for Seiko Instruments’ printer mechanisms and portable printers, BVM, has announced the CAPM327, a 24VDC high-speed rugged thermal print and cut unit optimised for use in ticketing and vending machines, receipt printing, lottery terminals, ATMs or other industrial, retail or medical applications.

The new INOX-F15C-ULT3 15” Panel PC from BVM is housed in a monolithic 304 stainless steel enclosure sealed to IP69k, the most demanding environmental protection specification. The unit is third-party IP69K tested with an 80°C 80 to 100 bar water jet at 100 to 150mm distance at angles from 0 to 90°.

A partnership agreement has been concluded between BVM and Yuan, a Taiwanese manufacturer of high-quality video and audio products in PCIe, Mini-PCIe and M.2 configurations. Yuan is vertically integrated, providing complete packages of the Hardware, Driver, Firmware, FPGA and SDK for all its products. They are primarily designed for applications on ships’ bridges for navigation and communications and in control rooms for propulsion control, ship automation and machinery control and monitoring systems.

BVM Limited is rolling out an additional capability for some of its SBCs, PanelPCs and complete embedded systems. iRIS, which provides Independent Remote Monitoring and Control of embedded systems, consists of a software suite and an associated small mezzanine card inserted in a header on the SBC.

Intel’s latest low-cost iteration of the Bay Trail SoC Pentium and Celeron architecture, Braswell, offers ultra-low power for fanless operation, budget-level computing performance and plentiful I/O. BVM are the first in the UK to offer the AsRock IMB-154 and IMB-155 Mini-ITX (6.7x6.7") motherboards designed for use in applications such as POS, kiosk, gaming machines, video display and thin clients.

Panel PCs with resistive touch screens have been released by BVM. The WTP-9A66 and WTP-8B66, which have been designed using stainless steel and are IP66 rated, can be used in areas such as food preparation where they can safely be washed down during routine cleaning.

Expanding its extensive Mini-ITX (6.7x6.7") embedded motherboard portfolio, The BVM Group has introduced the ASRock IMB-153.
