AMD or Intel-based 15.6 inch Panel PC
The BVM Group has announced the modular AFOLUX GENII 15.6 inch Panel PCs, available with either the AMD ASB1 or the Intel Atom N270 processor. The units are designed for use in self-service or interactive applications in public and commercial environments. Both versions have gigabit Ethernet, 801.11 b/g/n wireless and Bluetooth connectivity as standard, have built-in webcam and microphone and feature a choice of either single touch resistive or multi-touch capacitive touchscreens. A built-in HD decoder and an MPEG2/H.264/AVC and HDMI second display interface provide high quality AV and the ability to drive a slave screen. An optional integrated RFID reader enables use as an interactive asset tracking and identification terminal. Fanless operation provides improved reliability and quiet operation.
BothThe AMD-powered version is based on the 780E chipset and addresses up to 4GB of RAM, the Intel N270 unit has the 945GSE chipset supporting up to 2GB of RAM and a SATA interface enables local mass storage. Power is from an external 12VDC source.
