Brand-Rex has launched a new 10 Gigabit Ethernet PCB Patch Panel Set designed to maximise flexibility in data centre design by providing a high-density plug and play solution. Part of the innovative 10GPlus portfolio, the PCB Patch Panel Set has been developed to support the increasing use of 10 Gigabit Ethernet within the data centre.

It comprises a ½U shielded patch panel, a 1U shielded patch panel and a consolidation point module.

Supporting 24 ports and delivering true Category 6A/Class EA performance, the 10GPlus PCB ½U patch panel is perfect for applications where space is at a premium and a high-density solution with maximum airflow is required. It is compatible with all standard 19 inch racks and cabinets, enabling 48 terminations in just a single U and provides very high port density in the smallest possible area. Designed with four shielded modular units each comprising six ports and a detachable cover, modules can easily be removed from the panel when required.

Like the ½U version, the 10GPlus 1U PCB patch panel comes with plug and play modules that can be interchanged and separated from the patch panel. The modules can be pre-terminated on or off-site, offer a conventional termination method and are fitted with LSA punch down blocks as standard.

The 10GPlus PCB consolidation point comprises six RJ45 ports and can be supplied as a low profile stand-alone module or with mounting brackets to securely fix under floors or to walls. The module base and removable cover are made from a metallised plastic which offers a lightweight construction and excellent screening characteristics.
