Brand-Rex has launched a new 10 Gigabit Ethernet PCB Patch Panel Set designed to maximise flexibility in data centre design by providing a high-density plug and play solution. Part of the innovative 10GPlus portfolio, the PCB Patch Panel Set has been developed to support the increasing use of 10 Gigabit Ethernet within the data centre.

Beating off all the competition, Brand-Rex Speciality Cabling Solutions won a top Business accolade at the North of England Business Excellence Awards on 24th September. Judged as the best Private Sector Business (under 250 employees), a group of staff accepted the award, presented by the Rt Hon Rosie Winterton MP, at the annual awards dinner at the Royal Armouries in Leeds.

Brand-Rex Speciality Cabling Solutions has received the much coveted Investors in Excellence accreditation from North of England Excellence. The award, presented to the team by MP Andy Burnham, is a European recognized standard designed to enable organisations to obtain accreditation against an Excellence standard. Brand-Rex was one of only 200 companies in Europe to receive the accreditation.

Brand-Rex’s premium grade 10GPlus U/UTP Augmented Category 6/Class EA cabling system has received an ‘Attestation of Conformity’ from independent testing laboratory, 3P Third Party Testing. 3P’s certificate of conformity verifies that the Brand-Rex 10GPlus Augmented Cat 6 U/UTP cable and components provide the performance required to support any current and future Class EA application, including 10GBASE-T.

For the second consecutive year, Brand-Rex has been recognised by BSRIA as the UK’s leader in the structured cabling market. The independent research organisation has highlighted this considerable achievement in its latest report covering sales during 2009.

According to the latest market research carried out by industry research specialist consultants BSRIA, Brand-Rex grew its market share by 2.4% in 2008, despite the fact that the UK market for structured cabling fell by some 8%, forcing most suppliers to report declining sales.
