Industrial boards cover variety of applications
Three embedded boards from AAEON based on Intel’s latest Baytrail range of CPU platforms are in stock at Review Display Systems The boards have been developed in three different industrial formats to cover a range of applications. For handheld and space conscious applications, where users have configured their own base board, using the compact COM Express Type 6 format CPU module, the COM-BT, is available in single, dual and quad cor...
Modules offer flexible expansion interfaces & ECC memory
Incorporating 4th Gen Intel Core processors, a line of COM Express products has been released by DFI with the intention of targeting intelligent system development. Included in DFI's product roll-out was the HM961, HM960 and HM920, all of which are designed on the Mobile Intel QM87 and Intel HM86 chipsets and provide SATA with RAID to increase read/write capabilities and data error consistence.
Baytrail Mobile SBCs target intelligent systems
A suite of three different physical sizes of SBCs, based on the next-generation Baytrail Mobile processors, has been introduced by BVM. The Celeron J1900, the N2930 and the Atom E3845 low-power SoC integrate the processor core, Gen 7 graphics, memory controller, and I/O interfaces into a single system-on-chip. The SBCs are suited to intelligent systems and applications which demand low power consumption and high performan...
MicroTCA chassis maximises computing density with full redundancy
A 1U MicroTCA chassis platform, employing several design concepts to maximise computing density, has been announced by VadaTech. Allowing for more slots in a front-to-rear cooled solution while maintaining full redundancy, the VT840 combines the fan trays and power supplies on the rear of the chassis, allowing 6 AMC slots in the single module size.
10 COM port SBC targets gaming industry
A Mini-ITX form-factor SBC, which supports up to 10 COM ports, has been released by Acrosser. Featuring 1 x RS232, 1 x RS2323/485, and 8 x RS232 pin headers, the AMB-IH61T3 is particularly suitable for use within the gaming industry.
THIN Mini-ITX motherboard targets space limited applications
An industrial grade Mini-ITX motherboard, suitable for space limited applications, has been introduced by Advantech. The AIMB-215 is 21mm in height and powered by an Intel Celeron J1900/N2930 SoC, providing lower power consumption and higher performance than previous generations.
Display controller supports resolutions up to 2560x1600
A full-featured control solution designed for professional display systems has been introduced by Ginsbury. The SVX-2560 LCD controller from Digital View is designed to drive LCD panels up to 2560 × 1600 and will also drive large OLED panels. Dual digital display interface outputs, 4-channel LVDS and Embedded DisplayPort (eDP1.2), are featured.
PCI RTD and strain gauge simulator cards are introduced
To meet demand for programmable resistor solutions, Pickering Interfaces has introduced two ranges of PCI cards. The first range are PCI RTD simulator cards, which are intended for the emulation of PT100 and PT1000 resistive temperature sensors and have fine setting resolution characteristics.
Development board can be used for wearable/IoT designs
A development board for wearable and IoT designs has been introduced by Seeed. LinkIt ONE, a collaboration with MediaTek, is based on Aster SoC. The features of the board include: ARM7 EJ-STM, GSM, GPRS, WiFi, Bluetooth BR/EDR/BLE, GPS, Audio codec and an SD card connector.
Development boards ease connectivity to Raspberry Pi projects
RS Components is now taking orders for the new SparqEE development boards, which have been designed to enable easy cellular connectivity and Internet access for projects based on the Raspberry Pi and Arduino platforms. A total of seven new SparqEE boards are available to order exclusively from RS, including the CELLv1.0 – a tiny cellular development board that implements a 2G+3G chipset to provide wireless worldwide.
