DH ultraminiature switch from Cherry
Cherry Electrical Products has announced its new DH ultraminiature switch. Measuring just 8.2 x 2.7 x 6.2 mm these devices offer a maximum switching voltage of 30VDC and a maximum switched current between 300 and 500mADC, depending on model. With a mechanical life of over 50,000 operations, parts operate between -25 and +70degC.
Metal switch snaps into tight spaces
Schurter has announced today the addition of a new mounting technology to its range of metal switches. The switches are assembled from the front side of the equipment and then force fitted into the front panel. Thus, these new metallic switches with snap in technology enable quick and efficient assembly in buildings, controllers or equipment with limited or no access from the rear. Such applications include hollow sections used in buildings or eq...
UMT 250 fuse-link from Schurter
The latest addition to Schurter’s range of RoHS compliant products is the UMT 250 fuse-link. The UMT 250 offers the highest protection currently available in primary protection SM fuses, touting a breaking capacity rating of 200 Amps at 250 VAC or 100 Amps at 125 VDC over a current range of 315 mA to 4 A.
New Power Management Controllers - SC457 and SC458 - from Semtech
Semtech has announced the SC457 and SC458 power supply controllers with digitally controlled output and fast transient performance for processors and graphics chips used in notebook computers. With a built-in 7-bit DAC, the output voltage of the SC457 and SC458 can be digitally programmed in 12.5 mV steps from 0.3V up to 1.5V for precision control over output voltages.
Power-One launches SFP450 AC-DC front-end
Power-One has introduced the SFP450-12BG; a 450W, hot-swap, AC-DC front-end. This I2C-compatible power supply utilizes advanced topologies and thermal management techniques to deliver 12VDC at 36.6A, with efficiencies exceeding 89% and a power density of 9W/in3. Power-One will be displaying this highly-efficient product at Electronica 2006 in Munich.
Keithley and Mesatronic Agree to Develop Advanced RF Probe Cards
Keithley Instruments has announced it has partnered with Mesatronic Group (Voiron, France) to develop advanced probe cards for semiconductor parametric testers used in RF and low current DC applications.
GTK to supply latest HDMI technology cables
HDMI cables are now available from connector and cable assembly specialist GTK. HDMI technology integrates all video and sound signals onto a single, thin cable, making it easy to connect components together. In addition, everything on an HDMI cable assembly remains in its original, uncompressed digital format: signals are no longer converted from digital to analog (in order to run through the cables) and then back to digital.
Measurement Studio™ for Measurement Computing hardware
Measurement Computing Corporation, the market leader in low-cost data acquisition, has announced the release of a brand new version of Measurement Studio designed specifically to support Measurement Computing hardware.
Aldec Supports Altera's Stratix III Devices
Aldec, Inc has announced System Verification Environment (SVE) support for Altera Corporation's new high-end Stratix III FPGA device family. SVE supports all aspects of system-level design development and verification. It includes an industry-leading common kernel HDL simulator, a set of on-line debuggers, code coverage, cross-probing tools and an industry-first integrated simulator server farm manager (SFM) for automatic verification of ultra-...
B case size tantalums with low ESR
AVX’s 1210 B case size TCJ series of polymer tantalum capacitors launched last year is now available with even lower ESR, reduced from 70 to 45mΩ. For the design engineer this means lower output noise and improved ripple current in their circuits. It also means, faster pulse energy in key areas of the circuit, which has become much more important with the increased usage of battery power for handheld equipment.
