WASP brings the Digital Orthopaedic Laboratory at Exposanità 2024
WASP, committed to developing innovative solutions to improve healthcare, created WASP Med in 2015, a multidisciplinary group dedicated to medical 3D printing.
WASP Med introduces a new model of Digital Orthopaedic Laboratory, aiming to reduce costs and make medical care accessible to all through 3D printing.
At Exposanità, WASP will be showcasing two 3D printers from its industrial line, ideal for applications in this sector. The WASP 4070 FX is designed for ultra-precise filament printing, specifically for flexible materials like TPU, TPE, and PP, widely used in the medical field. Additionally, WASP will showcase the WASP 60100 HDP, a large-format 3D printer capable of printing directly from thermoplastic pellets in high definition, suitable for both flexible and non-flexible materials.
WASP will exhibit a series of applications created by its clients, printed using technologies of its industrial line, including:
- 3D foot design elaborate by Procosil, printed with Delta WASP 4070 PRO and Delta WASP 2040 in AlfaPro by FiloAlfa (PLA) and Filaflex 95A by Recreus (TPU)
- Modular postural unit Koala by Barbieri spa – Progettiamo Autonomia printed with WASP 4070 ZX in PETG
- Anti-gravity brace by Ortopedia 3D, Dott. Martina Leoncini and Dott. Francesco Ciriello, printed with WASP 4070 FX in certified PP for medical use
- Leg brace by Ortopedia Pessina, printed with WASP 4070 FX in PP
- Orthopedic seat by WASP, printed with WASP 60100 HDP in TPE
- Transtibial Socket Fitting by Centro Protesi INAIL, Eng. Andrea Cutti, printed with WASP 4070 ZX in Nylon Carbon
