LC filter array from Murata improves receiving sensitivity for mobile phones
Murata's latest addition to its NFA18SL series of EMIFIL LC arrays, the NFA18SL227V1A45, has improved electrical performance with deeper insertion loss characteristics at high frequency, compared to the rest of the NFA18SL range. The new 3-terminal filter array is designed for blocking high frequency noise in parts of mobile phone handset, particularly the LCD and camera modules found in these applications.
The The insertion loss of the NFA18SL227V1A45 is 6dB maximum at its nominal cut-off frequency, 220MHz. Insertion loss is specified at 30dB minimum at 900MHz and 2GHz. The device comes in 0603 packaging (1.6 x 0.8 x 0.6 mm), and there are 4 filters on each chip. Insulation resistance is 1000 MOhms minimum, with rated current 25mA and rated voltage 10Vdc, however the devices can withstand voltages of up to 30Vdc. Each filter displays inductance of 65nH and capacitance of 27pF. Operating temperature is -40 to +85degC.
