High performance SAW IF filters for all standard LTE bandwidths from 3.5 MHz to 75 MHz

MSC now offers the new family of high performance surface acoustic wave (SAW) IF filters from Vectron International. The new range of IF filters - covering all of the standard LTE bandwidths from 3.5 MHz to 75 MHz - is specifically optimized for transceivers and repeaters used in Long Term Evolution (LTE) applications.

The move to 4G technologies such as LTE is inevitable in order to continue to provide the necessary bandwidth for the transmission of the dramatically increasing amounts of data. For very high signal integrity and thus the best possible transmission quality, high performance filters with the lowest possible passband distortion are needed.

In order to meet the requirements of different LTE communication applications, the filters can be customized for center frequencies ranging from 50 MHz to 1 GHz and a selected passband bandwidth from 3.5 MHz to 75 MHz. The normalized filter bandwidth is typically > 50% and the passband ripple typically 0.3 dB or lower. With these technical data, solutions with a very low insertion loss - a value of 5 dB is typical - are possible.
