The SPB209 has been developed with dimensions of only 14 mm x 14 mm x 2.5 mm making it one of the smallest modules combining WLAN 802.11a/b/ g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2 Smart Ready (means Bluetooth Classic and Bluetooth Smart) as well as NFC on a single module with an excellent performance.
1 Tbyte SSD drops in to replace mechanical HDDs
The SanDisk X400 SSD which is SanDisk’s upper-tier SATA client SSD, driving mainstream adoption in computing platforms is being shipped by MSC Technologies. It is designed with SanDisk’s nCache 2.0 Technology provides greater reliability and high-grade endurance for longevity.
Superjunction principle drives MOSFET family
A new 650V X2-Class MOSFET family with current ratings from 2A to 120A and an RDS(on) as low as 24mOhm has been released by distributor MSC Technologies. This new part family is using the superjunction principle (charge compensation technique), where implanted p-zones in the vertical n-drift region are used to decrease the on-resistance.
High intensity LED doubles candela count
The new XLamp XP-L High Intensity LED from Cree, the first single-die LED to deliver over 100,000 candelas with a 50mm diameter optic at 10W is on sale at MSC Technologies. Built on Cree’s SC5 Technology Platform, the XP-L High-Intensity LED delivers more than double the candelas than the industry’s previous highest-performing single-die XP-L LED through the same optic.
Wi-Fi module homes in on domestic applications
A new WLAN-Module HDG820 for 802.11.b/g/n developed by H&D Wireless is ready for shipment at distributor MSC Technologies. It incorporates a complete IP protocol set running on an internal ARM Cortex core. The HDG820 SiP-Module includes the controller, WLAN transceiver and memory. It is delivered in an extremely small SMD package of 8x 8x1,2 mm3.
Don’t expect Plug & Play
Now that projected capacitive touch panels are being deployed increasingly in modern HMI systems it is necessary to consider all mechanical and electrical requirements of this technology, to ensure high functionality and reliable operability over the complete service life. By Frank Plönißen, Line Manager Touch Systems, MSC Technologies.
LEDs intensify lumen density
The first LEDs powered by Cree’s SC5 Technology Platform, XLamp XHP50 and XHP70 LEDs provide twice the lumen output and improved reliability compared to previous LEDs of the same size and are on sale at MSC Technologies. XHP50 and XHP70 LEDs shatter the industry’s perceived limit of LED lumen density by delivering up to 2546lm at 19W from a 5mm2 package and up to 4022lm at 32W from a 7mm2 package, respectively.
Displays meet demands of outdoor environments
A range of robust displays suited for display applications in outdoor environments like for HMIs of Construction and Agriculture Machines as well as for Marine are now at MSC Technologies. NLT Technologies’ NL8048AC19-14F (17.8 cm/7.0in.), NL8048AC19-13 (17.8 cm/7.0in.), NL8048AC21-01F (22 cm/8.0in.) and NL12880BC20-07F (33.3 cm/12,1in.) have a luminance of 1000cd/m², and 1500 cd/m² resulting in excellent viewability even in high ...
LED eclipses halogen lamps colour consistency
Built on Cree’s EasyWhite technology, which combines tight colour binning and intense light output from a single LED, the XM-L2 EasyWhite LED is optimised to replace Color-Consistent 50-Watt Halogen Technology. The new XLamp XM-L2 EasyWhite LED from Cree delivers more than 1,100 lumens of colour-consistent light from a 5mm x 5mm package enabling a 38 percent gain in light output and efficacy as a drop-in upgrade to the first-generation XM-L...
