Manufacturer and supplier of passive components, interconnects, sensors, and control solutions, AVX, has added 11 new frequencies to its 0805 high-performance, low-pass LP Series integrated thin film (ITF) SMD filters. Now available in 700, 750, 780, 942, 1,000, 1,250, 1,800, 1,900, 2,400, 2,900, 3,500, and 4,000MHz variants, the 0805 filters are compact and low-profile - measuring 2.03x1.55x0.80mm ±0.10mm.

The filters also exhibit low insertion loss and sharp roll-off suited for a broad range of high-frequency wireless applications including: mobile communications systems, microcell and picocell base stations, satellite TV receivers, global positioning and vehicle location systems, and wireless LANs.

“This vast expansion to our 0805 LP Series high-performance, low-pass filters, which are especially designed for the smaller and more crowded PCBs that next-generation wireless electronics depend on, will help wireless systems engineers achieve the smaller, slimmer, and more functional product designs that the market demands,” said Larry Eisenberger, Principal Technical Marketing Engineer at AVX.

LP Series filters are based on proven thin film multilayer technology, are ruggedly constructed for reliable automatic assembly, and are rated for 8W continuous power and operating and storage temperatures spanning -40 to 85°C.

Featuring characteristic impedance of 50Ω and nickel/lead-free-solder (Sn100) coated terminations compatible with automatic reflow, wave, vapour phase, and manual soldering technologies, the RoHS-compliant LP Series filters are 100% tested for electrical parameters and both visual and mechanical characteristics, and are shipped on tape and reel.
