5.5in Passive Matrix OLED comes with comprehensive technical support for design engineers

The new PMOLED measures 146 mm ´ 45 mm x 2 mm in mechanical size and has an active area of 135.65 mm x 33.89 mm. It comes with a standard ZIF connector and supports various interfaces, such as 8 bit Intel or Motorola and 3 or 4 wire SPI. The size and resolution of the module make it ideal for a wide variety of applications, ranging from instrumentation and industrial equipment in general to DAB radio and Point-of-Sale systems. The new display is available in green as a standard colour but Densitron can offer customisation service to meet design engineers’ specific colour requirements.

Samples and supporting evaluation kits for the 5.5” display (PDK-N-25664GE-1A) are now in stock. Densitron’s proprietary Plug & Play evaluation kit allows quick import of menu structured bit maps directly from a PC to the display. The user-friendly kit also provides direct access to the display registers, enabling real-time modifications to the display properties. Only a USB cable, which is included in the package, is required for powering and interfacing with the kit. Working example codes can be provided to help design engineers to kick start the development cycle, and support on hardware checks and code debugging are available at the initialization stage.
