TÜV SÜD is warning manufacturers of ICT and AV Equipment that if they do not comply with a new safety standard (IEC 62368) within the next two months, they will no longer be able to sell their products in the EU.

STMicroelectronics acquires SOMOS Semiconductor
STMicroelectronics has announced the acquisition and integration of the assets of SOMOS Semiconductor. SOMOS, based in Marly-le-Roy (France), is a fabless semiconductor company founded in 2018, and specialised in silicon-based power amplifiers and in RF Front-End Modules (FEM) products.
Dialog Semi licenses its Non-Volatile Resistive RAM Tech to GLOBALFOUNDRIES
Dialog Semiconductor and GLOBALFOUNDRIES (GF) have announced that they have entered into an agreement in which Dialog licenses its Conductive Bridging RAM (CBRAM) technology to GLOBALFOUNDRIES. The resistive ram (ReRAM)-based technology was pioneered by Adesto Technologies which was recently acquired by Dialog Semiconductor in 2020.
Smart manufacturing facility to address demand for Hi-Rel connectors
Harwin has started production in its new manufacturing facilities at the Portsmouth headquarters in the South of England. Providing an additional 1,200m² of factory floor, the new facility is enabling the company to quickly and significantly scale up production of its high reliability (Hi-Rel) connectors to meet market requirements.

Jaguar Racing has confirmed a long-term partnership renewal with global automotive technology company, GKN Automotive, within the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. Ascom and Person Centred Software extend joint contract
Two healthcare technology providers have announced the extension of a joint contract, which will continue to make the latest technology available to carers. Ascom and Person Centred Software first announced their partnership in June 2019, signing a £2.67m joint contract to provide 7,800 smartphones to care home staff.
