Microlease, along with the Livingston brand and Electro Rent in Europe, have completed the consolidation of their European operations. The three companies will operate within the global Electro Rent Corporation as Electro Rent.

Expanded Thailand facility to support high growth markets
Sanmina has announced its expanded Thailand facility. Augmenting its existing mission critical products, the site now has advanced custom packaging and assembly capabilities to manufacture advanced optical, high speed and radio frequency (RF) microelectronic assemblies and products. This expansion supports rapid growth for new technology products across the networking, 5G, data centre, automotive/LIDAR and aerospace and defence markets.
UMC certifies Mentor product lines
Mentor, a Siemens business, has announced that multiple Mentor product lines are now certified for United Microelectronic Corporation’s (UMC’s) 22uLP (ultra Low Power) process technology, including Mentor’s Calibre platform, Analog FastSPICE platform, and Nitro-SoC digital design platform.
Investment in high-temperature electrolysis
Neste has acquired a minority stake in the German cleantech company Sunfire. Sunfire is a developer of high-temperature electrolysis technology. The company’s patented technology allows the production of renewable hydrogen as well as the direct conversion of water and CO2 into raw material for petrochemical products.
Selective soldering level II maintenance training course
Kurtz Ersa a supplier of electronics production equipment, will hold an ERSA Versaflow 3 Selective Soldering Level II Maintenance Training Course from Monday, March 30th, 2020 at 1pm to Wednesday, April 1st, 2020 at 12pm at its Plymouth office. The two-day class will provide the knowledge and hands-on experience required to maintain and troubleshoot the Versaflow 3 machines.
Signify completes acquisition of Cooper Lighting
Signify has completed the acquisition of Cooper Lighting Solutions from Eaton. The transaction strengthens Signify’s market position and better positions the company to capture growth in the North American lighting market.
Acquisition brings enhanced smart factory solutions
Hexagon AB has announced the signing of an agreement to acquire Romax Technology, a provider of Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) software for electromechanical drivetrain design and simulation, to improve their smart factory solutions. A greater focus on energy efficiency and an accelerating shift towards electrification brings new engineering challenges that require increased use of simulation tools earlier in the design lifecycle.
Oceanology London postponed until December 2020
Reed Exhibitions has announced that Oceanology International London 2020, originally scheduled for 17th-19th March, 2020, will now take place from 1st-3rd December 2020 at the Excel London, following the escalation of COVID-19 in Europe.
