From 3rd-7th May 2021, the 'PCIM Europe digital days' presented the latest developments and trends in power electronics and were, with large participation of companies, speakers and attendees once again the digital meeting place of the industry.

Over 2,700 international attendees gathered information on product innovations and the latest research results in company profiles, live webinars, conference presentations and an extensive forum program.

Werner Dorbath, Head of International Marketing Communication, Semikron International GmbH confirmed: “PCIM Europe is, and will always be, the main event in the power electronics industry’s calendar - and this is no less true for the digital format. We made new contacts, engaged in discussions with customers, showcased our latest products and solutions, and saw which topics and trends are driving the industry today. Where else would you get all this and more in such a compact format?”

In the conference, more than 240 speakers presented, for instance, the latest developments in the field of power modules and SiC devices. Among the highlights of the program were the keynotes on "Next Generation of Power Electronics Module Packaging", Hannes Stahr, AT&S, Austria and the keynote "HVDC Grid Challenges Locks and Opportunities", Seddik Bacha, SuperGrid Institute, France, which were broadcast live this year.

A special crowd puller with over 400 listeners was the keynote "Next-Generation SiC/GaN Three-Phase VariableSpeed Drive Inverter Concepts" by Johann Walter Kolar, ETH Zurich, Switzerland. The program was rounded off by a visionary impulse keynote on the future of work and 13 interactive seminars.

All conference presentations as well as the contributions from the Industry and E-Mobility forum will be available on-demand until 31st August 2021.
