Adaptsys announced its plans for the Motek international trade fair. Motek is the world’s leading event in the fields of production and assembly automation, feed technology and material flow, and industrial handling technology, and runs from 10th -13th October in Stuttgart. Adaptsys can be found on stand 4555, Hall 4. Duncan Milroy, director at Adaptsys, said; “There is a growing demand in the electronics manufacturing industry for both manual and automated ‘Tape & Reeling’ systems, and we’re now seeing demand also grow in mechanical manufacturing, particularly in the field of precision components.

The quality and cost benefits of ‘Tape & Reeling’ are widely understood, and use across Europe is rapidly expanding. We have been designing and manufacturing our own Re-flex brand of carrier tapes in the UK for a number of years and are now able to develop and turn-round custom-designed tapes in as little as five days, which we believe to be unique in Europe.”

For over a decade, Adaptsys has acted as distributer for some of the world's leading names in device programming, tape & reeling and carrier tape – providing innovative solutions to both the electronics manufacturing industry and mechanical component manufacturers.

Adaptsys also provides its own leading-edge systems and tools, adding value for customers by increasing productivity, traceability and quality production. This includes a ‘Fast Carrier Tape’ service, offering end users production and shipping of custom and standard carrier tape in days, rather than weeks, even for the most complex of component designs.

Other highlights at this year’s expo will be a selection from the V-TEK Tape and Reeling product range, including an innovative vision-based robotic system as well as the OEM version of the popular TM-50 Taping System.

Mr Milroy concluded; “Motek is an incredible platform for us to meet manufacturers and demonstrate our unique ability in the fields of production and assembly automation, feed technology and component flow. We’re seeing a definite increase of interest in our carrier tape services from manufacturers of mechanical assemblies, as there is a trend to use automation to enable manufacturing to return to Europe from Asia.”
