Flash Programmer said to Cut Programming Time by more than 80%
Adaptsys has announced the Flashstream Flash Vector Programming System, offering the industry's fastest programming of NAND and NOR flash memory. Flashstream programs devices at six to 12 times the speed of existing solutions. Programming times are dependant upon device characteristics, and are as low as 2.5 percent above the theoretical minimum programming time. The system offers up to four programming sites per machine, and allows up to four ma...
Taping Machine Increases Throughput in Medium-Volume, High Mix Manufacturing
V-TEK has introduced the TM-4500 manual taping machine, an ideal solution to help manage part inventories and increase purchasing efficiency. Bulk parts received in tubes are taped and reeled at a rate of up to 6000 units per hour (UPH), depending upon shape and size, an increase of 30% over previous solutions. Typical applications include low- and medium-volume manufacturing, where purchasing full reels of components can be uneconomic, and tapin...
Adaptsys expands into new premises
Growth in sales of production equipment and productivity solutions to electronics manufacturers has led to a move to new and larger headquarters for Adaptsys. Based in Petersfield, Hampshire, the new premises provide over seven times more space for Adaptsys to offer enhanced product demonstration areas and customer training, as well as more room for the overhaul and refurbishment of customers’ equipment.
Automated Programmer Offers Tray Input and Output Handling System
Adaptsys announces the availability of Helix desktop automated programmer which offers a tray input and output handling system in addition to support for devices in tubes. Automating device programming increases reliability and decreases production costs, but until now, the cost of this equipment was difficult to economically justify.
True 3D Coplanarity Inspection Increases Production Yield
Adaptsys has announced the availability of true 3D optical coplanarity inspection for V-TEK taping machines. By inspecting parts prior to taping, manufacturing defects such as lead burr and coplanarity problems caused by handling of parts can be identified and parts rejected before they cause a board to fail. The increased manufacturing yield and reduction in subsequent failures offer substantial savings for electronics equipment manufacturers.
