The AMA Association for Sensors and Measurement (AMA) is inviting scientists and developers from both industry and research to apply for the prestigious AMA Innovation Award 2025.

This award seeks groundbreaking advancements in sensor and measurement technology that demonstrate clear market potential. Applications must be submitted by 23 January 2025.

Individuals and teams with innovations that show both technical creativity and economic impact are encouraged to apply. The AMA Innovation Award comes with a prize of €10,000. Additionally, young companies that have been operating for no more than five years, employ fewer than 50 staff, and have an annual turnover below €10 million are eligible for the special "Young Enterprise" prize, which includes a complimentary stand at SENSOR+TEST 2025.

“We invite you to submit your forward-looking ideas in sensor and measuring technology and present them to an international audience of experts at SENSOR+TEST 2025,” said Andreas Schütze from Saarland University, Chairman of the jury. "No matter whether you represent an established company or a start-up, whether you operate nationally or internationally. We look forward to your innovations and contributions that reflect the dynamics of our industry.”

The AMA Innovation Award, now in its 25th year, celebrates the contributions of developers and teams, independently of the organisations or institutions supporting them. A jury of experts from science, research, and industry will assess the scientific quality, innovation, and market potential of each submission.

Nominations and the winner of the "Young Enterprise" award will be revealed at the AMA Press Conference on 18 March 2025, while the recipients of the AMA Innovation Award 2025 will be honoured at the opening ceremony of SENSOR+TEST 2025, taking place on 6 May 2025 in Nuremberg. All nominated teams will have the opportunity to showcase their innovations to an international audience at the event.
