SENSOR+TEST 2012 concluded successfully: Innovation dialog getting more international
With the sun shining brightly on all three days of the fair, approximately 8,200 visitors from all over the globe made good use of the opportunity to obtain valuable and comprehensive information about the state of the art in sensor, measuring, and testing technology at the SENSOR+TEST in Nuremberg.
The On the last day of the event, Holger Bödeker, managing director of AMA Service, commented, “Once again, the fair has met the high expectations of our exhibitors and visitors. The absolute figures may not have changed much, but we’re certainly glad to see the considerable increase of the international share in all target groups.”
By the same token, the exhibitors were just as satisfied. Reinhard Bertermann, chief of Marketing at HBM, says, “The SENSOR+TEST is and will continue to be the absolute leading trade fair for measuring and sensor technology. For us, it’s the only event at which we can present our entire product range. Despite some scheduling overlap with other fairs, we made good contacts here from the very first day – both in terms of quality and quantity.”
The visitors were particularly interested in the comprehensive programme on our focal topic “electromobility,” which boasted a dedicated lecture forum and its own action area. One exhibitor, Peter Scholz, managing director of ADDITIVE GmbH, stated, “The special forum on electromobility was great: It attracted many inquisitive visitors, and the highly professional talks were very application oriented. As a result, we were able to gain more contacts in automotives and their suppliers at our stand this year.”
The two conferences held parallel to the fair were also able to record high visitor numbers. The 16th GMA/ITG Conference “Sensors and Measuring Systems 2012” and the “IMCS 2012 – 14th International Meeting on Chemical Sensors” jointly welcomed 800 registered participants.
The next SENSOR+TEST is to be held on the 14th to 16th of May 2013 at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre – this time with the biannual scientific AMA conferences SENSOR, OPTO, and IRS². The AMA Association and the Exhibitor Board have decided on the focal topic for next year’s fair: “Renewable Energy.”
