Many exhibitors have already secured their place at the leading international trade fair for sensor, measurement, and testing technology in Nuremberg.

Preparations for SENSOR+TEST from May 10-12, 2022 are in full swing.

Sensor+Test 2020 which was due to be staged in Nuremberg from June 23-25 has been cancelled after the Bavarian government banned all mass gatherings until the end of August.

Electronic Specifier’s Mick Elliott reports from the press office at a very hot Nuremberg to get the low-down from this year’s Sensor+Test show.

The SENSOR+TEST trade fair in Nuremberg was concluded with gratifying figures. Approximately 8,000 visitors used the three days of the fair to obtain comprehensive information at the stands of the 591 exhibitors and to catch up at the forums on sensor, measuring, and testing technology.

  Sensor, measuring, and testing systems play a key role in digitising and networking vehicles, machines, and systems - even of entire factories and indeed the industry as a whole. They convert the actual status of the analogue world into the digital data world of Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things. And their intelligence and communication capability is continuously growing. 

An exceptional boost in all key growth figures for this year’s SENSOR+TEST in Nürnberg, is down to the move to the new halls and thus the expansion of exhibition and floor space. The results of the visitor and exhibitor polls show that quantity and quality are not mutually exclusive.

The future belongs to measuring technology. Its data is the blood flowing in the arteries of the future industry – and most things in the IoT will turn out to be measuring sensors. The real advance in the connected world of tomorrow will be the global availability of local measuring results. "Every year the SENSOR+TEST is the highlight on our event calendar,” says Matthias Bopp, CEO of the Micronas group. As in the years before, the SENSOR+TEST in Nürnberg has again thoroughly established its pole position as the internationally leading trade fair for sensor, measuring and testing technology. For the year 2016 the organisers and exhibitors anticipate a boost in growth thanks to the long-pursued move to new halls at the exhibition centre.

Clouded by the two-day strike of the German locomotive engineers union GDL, the 22nd SENSOR+TEST Measuring Fair in Nuremberg came to an end on the 22nd of May. After a considerable increase in visitors of about 15% on the first non-strike day of the fair, the exhibitors as well as the organisers had to acknowledge a noticeable decrease on the second and third day.

The 22nd international SENSOR+TEST Measurement Fair is to be held from 19th to 21st May 2015 at the Nürnberg Exhibition Center under the motto Welcome to the Innovation Dialog. A multitude of opportunities to obtain first-hand information about the latest sensor, measuring and testing technology, can be seen at the stands of the 550 exhibitors from all over the globe,  as well as at various technical forums and thematic stands.

Environmental protection in industry – as well as in general – is hardly possible without reliable measuring values. Whether we want to avoid health hazards, optimise industrial processes, or comply with new statutory requirements: Precise monitoring of ambient conditions is now a more important task for sensing, measuring, and testing technology than ever before.

With the sun shining brightly on all three days of the fair, approximately 8,200 visitors from all over the globe made good use of the opportunity to obtain valuable and comprehensive information about the state of the art in sensor, measuring, and testing technology at the SENSOR+TEST in Nuremberg.
