Powervation Ltd will discuss intelligent, adaptive digital power management solutions at the upcoming Applied Power Electronics Conference (APEC) and Exposition scheduled in Orlando, Florida.
Powervation will again participate in APEC by returning for this year’s exhibition. In addition to various booth displays of new power management solutions, customer reference designs, and the recently launched PowerSMART™ design tool, Powervation will host a seminar on topics related to intelligent digital controllers and integrated power stages.

The digital power management company provides solutions that run proprietary firmware algorithms and allow real-time, adaptive behaviour. New digital DC/DC control solutions, such as the PV3012, use the Auto-Control® self-adaptive compensation technique; this feature allows the IC to optimize the trade-off between dynamic performance and system stability on a cycle-by-cycle basis. Additionally, the adaptive behaviour enables the use of efficiency improvement techniques that otherwise would require additional cost & complexity to implement. This year’s seminar will discuss some of the benefits and features of these unique control solutions. Comments Powervation’s Director of Product Marketing, David New: “The self-compensating, adaptive nature of our power management solutions relieves power supply designers of the burden of compensation, plant characterization, and reduces total design iterations.” Additionally, Auto-Control provides a key advantage for designs that drive imprecise or variable loads, and addresses the challenges associated with power supply component variation, and component parameter drift that occurs over temperature and time.
