Essemtec has announced that a leading SMT equipment manufacturer has concluded a contract with Essemtec, to supply 100 of its Cubus storage systems, for delivery in the coming 12 months. The first systems have already been delivered to Southeast Asia and to multiple sites in Europe.

Cubus is Essemtec's recently-released next-gen SMT storage system, designed to reduce inventory and thus reduce working capital. With its flexible shelf configuration, foolproof operation and easy line integration, it easily adapts to the ever-changing manufacturing environments.

Thanks to its small footprint and storage capacity of up to 932 reels, the Cubus can be positioned close to SMT manufacturing lines, interfacing easily with pick-and-place machines. The system is designed with the aim of greatly reducing kitting time and errors as well as machine interruptions due to missing or misplaced material.

“We are very pleased that our newly developed storage system has convinced our customers so quickly. I congratulate our engineering and manufacturing team for their outstanding contributions. This large multi-million dollar order is a strong vote of confidence in the quality and productivity of Essemtec products and will spur further growth for us.” commented Dr. Frank Bose, Managing Director, Essemtec.
