Founded by Rod Clarke and David Smith, who continue as Chairman and Technical Director respectively, BVM designs and manufactures bespoke integrated computer solutions, used in applications as diverse as data capture, London Underground, clingfilm manufacturing, shopping centre information kiosks, bingo halls, point of sale terminals and vehicle mounted systems. Product and software development, manufacturing, test and technical support are all carried out at the company’s Hedge End facility. A financially successful organisation with a long-serving skilled workforce, BVM is in an excellent position to build on its strong base and embark on the next phase of investment-driven growth.
To take BVM to this next stage of growth, BVM has appointed Robert Wainwright as General Manager. Robert will oversee the development of strategies, streamline the manufacturing process and will be responsible for implementing the substantial investment that will enable the company to double in size over the next five years. A professional business manager with a sales and marketing background, Robert has considerable previous experience in running both manufacturing and service organisations in several different industries. He commented, “BVM is a great company with a high level of technical expertise and, above all, a total focus on meeting customer demands. It’s what makes BVM so very different; we are simply a great company to do business with”.
