Briggs Equipment announces CEO appointment

Briggs Equipment UK announces that Paul Goodhand will join the company as CEO. Paul has led sales and marketing and operational efforts for companies in the equipment, technology and manufacturing industries for nearly 30 years. He is currently Managing Director for Knorr Bremse Rail Systems UK (formerly Westinghouse). Previous to his role with Knorr Bremse, Paul was Vice President of Global Sales Operations for Bruel and Kjaer.

Heather Kreager, CEO, Sammons Enterprises, the holding company for Briggs UK, said: "We are looking forward to Paul coming on board as our new CEO. Under his leadership, I believe we will be able to continue to grow our business in the UK while bringing industry‐leading service to our customers and delivering a positive work experience for our employees."

Current Briggs UK CEO, Richard Close, is stepping down from his role as CEO to form his consulting firm, Graywolf Management. He will stay with Briggs UK as a consultant until 30th September 2015.
