A family-owned business specialising in marine and logistics services across the UK and Europe has been able to introduce a new service and boost its container hire business after working with Briggs Equipment to improve its cargo handling capabilities. Following a meeting at Multimodal in 2016, Williams Shipping purchased a refurbished 45 tonne Hyster reachstacker for its logistics business.

In just 12 months, kind-hearted employees at Briggs Equipment have helped to raise close to £150,000 for a number of worthy causes. The asset management and engineering services specialist has a dedicated employee-led fundraising programme, as Janet Noble, Chair of the Briggs Charity Team, explains. "As a company, one of the things of which we're most proud is our commitment to corporate social responsibility," she says.

Raising over £120,000, a team supported by Briggs Defence, for SSAFA, the Armed forces charity, took part in a 3,000 mile charity drive across Europe. The specialist defence division of engineering services, asset management and equipment supply company Briggs Equipment was a key sponsor of the biennial charity event, Rally for Heroes.

Briggs Equipment UK announces that Paul Goodhand will join the company as CEO. Paul has led sales and marketing and operational efforts for companies in the equipment, technology and manufacturing industries for nearly 30 years. He is currently Managing Director for Knorr Bremse Rail Systems UK (formerly Westinghouse). Previous to his role with Knorr Bremse, Paul was Vice President of Global Sales Operations for Bruel and Kjaer.

  Briggs Equipment has become a new sponsor partner of the Royal Air Force Reserves team in the 2015 MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship (BSB).
