BPM Microsystems, a leading supplier of device programming systems, has announced BPM Microsystem equipment support for Future Technology Devices International’s (FTDI) Vinculum VNC1L embedded USB host controller IC.
Aimed at engineers designing Vinculum VNC1L applications, BPM Microsystems device programmers are also suitable for programming service providers, contract manufacturers and component distributors with option of equipment from basic manual programming systems to fully automatic bulk pre-programming. Providing out of circuit programming for the Vinculum VNC1L the programmers also allow the verification of firmware prior to device insertion and soldering. In turn this leads to production cost savings by eliminating the need for a separate production station for device programming after PCB assembly. The programmers provide the ability to automate the bulk programming of VNC1L devices saving both time and minimising the risk of human error.

FTDI were pleased to collaborate with BPM Microsystems to provide volume programming capability for Vinculum VNC1L, said Daniel McCaffrey, Sales and Marketing Manager, FTDI. Our Vinculum VNC1L offers the ability to provide USB host support to a wide range of industrial and commercial embedded applications that previously could not offer this capability. The BPM Microsystems programmer support just made it easier for our volume manufacturers to quickly program multiple VNC1L devices.”

“BPM Microsystems is proud to support FTDI in its efforts to provide its customers with options for volume pre-programming of the VN1C device. Support is now released to all BPM Microsystems customers and extensive network of programming service providers through a software download” ,says Tim Nolte, Director of Global Marketing at BPM Microsystems.
