Matrox announces EpicA series graphics cards for thin clients
Matrox Graphics has announced EpicA series dual- and quad-display graphics cards designed for thin clients and other mission-critical systems. EpicA products have new, innovative, server-based software from Matrox to manage multi-display configurations in remote sessions. The cards also feature support for 2 or 4 digital and analog monitors at a time, small form factors, low power consumption, passive (fanless) cooling, and PCI bus interfaces.
ABSL and QinetiQ Win MOD Portable Power Systems Development Programme
The MOD has just awarded ABSL Power Solutions Ltd (ABSL) and QinetiQ Ltd (QinetiQ) a contract to mature technology for the next generation of portable power systems. The contract, worth up to £5 million was awarded for up to three years and follows an open competition under the UK MOD’s Technology in the Supplier Base (Output 6) research programme and will be managed within the Dismounted Close Combat Integrated Project Team (DCC IPT).

Quantum Research Group, the charge-transfer capacitive touch company, has announced the QT100, a single-channel sensing chip in an RoHS-compliant, 6-SOT-23 package. Designed primarily for use in hand-held products – mobile phones and MP3 players – this is the smallest charge-transfer device in the company’s product range.
Anglia signs second distribution agreement this week!
Anglia has signed a UK and Ireland distribution agreement with Japanese connector manufacturer Hirose.
