At the RailTex exhibition, which is taking place from 9th to 11th May at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC), Birmingham, European manufacturer of rail network access chambers, covers and cable protection, Cubis Systems, will be exhibiting. Cubis will be showing its variety of innovative (PADs) approved rail products from stand R17 at the event, which brings the latest railway equipment, systems and services to rail network planning and construction specialists.

Cubis works with some of the largest rail network operators across Europe, providing access chambers, covers and cable protection systems. At the event, Cubis will be showcasing its range of track-side drainage, cable ducting, Fixed Telecom Network (FTN) and under track crossing (UTX) systems and the introduction of its new STAKKAbox ULTIMA Connect access chamber system.

“RailTex attendees will be able to speak to the team about our specialist products and how they can be used in a range of applications across the rail network,” said Finn McCrory, Technical Manager at Cubis Systems. “For example, attendees can see our UTX system, that combines our MULTIduct cable protection system and STAKKAbox ULTIMA access chamber that provides an under track or road crossing. It is PADs approved, and has been used by a range of major European rail network operators, including Network Rail.

“We have a range of other products on show, such as the drainage catch pit FLEXI Pit. This pit system is a track-side inspection chamber with an adaptable pipe-invert level, purposely design for Network Rail. It has already been used on the new Doncaster train depot, Rose Ghyll trackside in Mayport Cumbria and in many other areas prone to flooding.”

Many of Cubis’ products also provide economical and easy to manage trackside and end-of-line cabling and telecoms protection. Both the FTN and buried cable routes provide quick and lightweight installation options, meaning fewer workers are required for installation and no special equipment is required, resulting in cost-savings for network contractors.

Cubis’ technical team will be available at stand R17 throughout the show to provide advice and insight into the technical applications and health and safety benefits of using composite products across the railway network industry. Anyone interested in the latest rail access chambers and covers can speak with the team at Stand R17 from 9th to 11th May at the NEC, Birmingham (Hall 3/3a).
