Link Microtek, the manufacturer of optical, RF and microwave products, has received an order worth approximately £750,000 from Rohde & Schwarz to supply its Azdec secure optical MLC (mobile local communications) systems for installation on the first three of the Royal Navy’s planned class of eight Type 26 frigates, which are due to enter service from the mid-2020s.

Qorvo’s 100-W QPA3069 power amplifier has joined the Mouser Electronics analogue portfolio. The device is predominantly focused on defence and avionics applications (such as radar). This high power density IC covers the 2.7GHz to 3.5GHz radio frequency (RF) band and offers a 25dB power gain along with a 53% power-added efficiency (PAE).

The QPA3069 power amplifier from Qorvo is now being shipped by Mouser Electronics. Engineered for defence and aerospace applications, the 100W QPA3069 provides high power density and power-added efficiency for 2.7 - 3.5GHz radio frequency (RF) based designs.
