Wind River has updated its VxWorks 653 operating environment to include support for multi-core silicon and robust partitioning for applications that enable multilevel RTCA DO-178C certification. Additionally, Wind River has announced support for the Safety Base Profile of Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE) 2.1 Technical Standard.

 At the 2015 NAIAS (North American International Auto Show), which takes place from 12th to 25th January in Detroit, MI, Wind River will be demonstrating its portfolio of automotive technologies.

At Embedded World 2015, which takes place from 24th to 26th February in Nuremberg, Germany, Wind River will deliver a keynote, present industry sessions, and exhibit. Through presentations, product demonstrations and live customer applications, the company will focus on the IoT, and its associated opportunities and challenges.

Wind River has introduced a safety profile for the next-gen version of its VxWorks RTOS. The profile adds safety features to VxWorks 7, aimed at the development of safety critical systems in industrial, medical, transportation, aerospace and defense applications.
