Focusing on e-mobility at PCIM Europe 2017
Two months prior to PCIM Europe 2017, the international exhibition and conference for power electronics, intelligent motion, renewable energy and energy management, more than 400 companies have put their name on the exhibitor list. Their aim is to inspire the international trade visitors with innovative products and informing about current industry trends.
In the power electronics industry, e-mobility is increasingly emerging as a new business segment with immense growth potential. PCIM Europe has taken account of this development by introducing the new e-mobility area in hall 6, a central platform for products and solutions on the topic of automotive.
On the first and second exhibition day, the adjoining e-mobility forum, organided in cooperation with the 'Elektronik automotive' trade magazine, offers presentations on current industry trends. The distinctive focus is set on new developments and challenges in power electronics with regard to diverse applications such as electrical, hybrid and fuel cell vehicles as well as charging infrastructure.
To name only a few examples, Dr. Bernd Eckardt, Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Systems and Device Technology IISB will focus on 'Power Electronics for next Generation Electric Vehicles'. Laurent Beaurenaut, Infineon Technologies, on the other hand, poses the question 'Silicon Carbide Inverters: The Future of Electromobility?'. On the third and final day of the event, exhibiting companies introduce product innovations specifically for the automotive sector in 20 minute presentations.
PCIM Europe takes place in Nuremberg from 16th-18th May 2017.
