TE Connectivity (TE) is working with Pepperl+Fuchs and Software AG on solutions to optimise interlinked manufacturing processes. The three companies are also working on smart status monitoring and maintenance. Results of their collaboration can be seen at the Hanover Fair (April 25-29th) in Booth D76 in Hall 9.

A test bed that shows how all sensor data can be transmitted from machines to an IT system and evaluated there has been developed by TE Connectivity (TE), ifm, SAP and the OPC Foundation. This allows the efficiency of a factory to be considerably enhanced through, for example, a reduction in energy consumption.

TE Connectivity has announced its STRADA Whisper Direct Plug Orthogonal (DPO) connectors, which enable designers to eliminate midplane connectivity to reduce costs and improve airflow in switches, servers, base stations and other types of communications equipment. STRADA Whisper DPO connectors are an extension of TE’s STRADA Whisper backplane connector family.

The company's first solution of its kind, TE Connectivity has announced a Circular Hybrid Connector (CHC) for use in hydraulic and pneumatic valve controllers. The CHC has eight power and four data contacts and was designed for real-time machine automation applications that require a high-performance data connection and power up to 10A.

TE Connectivity has announced a series of low cost, compact pipe-mount temperature sensors that reliably measure the harsh, varying environments of HVACR systems. The IH-492 series, to be showcased at the AHR Expo from 25th to 27th January, 2016 in Orlando, features a glass-encapsulated NTC thermistor potted in a fast response copper housing for exceptionally stable and accurate measurement in high moisture and freeze/thaw applications.

TE Connectivity has announced a catalogue highlighting its broad portfolio of sensor technologies. The catalogue also profiles markets served and wide range of applications. TE categorises its products into 18 sensor type sections. Each section is introduced with a brief description followed by simple product tables and specifications.

With the DEUTSCH DT Series TE Connectivity offers connectors for harsh environments. The connectors are designed specifically for cable to cable applications. Distributor Börsig offers the established DEUTSCH connectors of the DT Series from stock. The distributor will break packaging units and deliver the DT connectors extremely fast and without a minimum order value.

Users of the Industrial Mini input/output (I/O) connector families can sleep a little easier. TE Connectivity (TE) and FCI have entered into a second-source agreement to establish the Industrial Mini I/O family in the market as the reliable Ethernet connector. The Industrial Mini I/O connector is only one quarter the size of the conventional RJ45 plug, and provides space saving and the flexibility to use limited space on the PCB more effectively....

TE Connectivity has added the MHR-T Series of high-temperature, miniature linear variable differential transformers (LVDTs) to its line of linear displacement sensors. With a diameter of only 9.5 mm (3/8"), these high-reliability transducers accurately measure displacement in space-constrained applications including process controls, automation and robotics as well as chemical plants, hydraulics and power turbines.

A new power interconnect cable assembly has been launched by TE Connectivity (TE). The assembly is aimed at Open Rack V2, a new connectivity solution designed to power Open Compute Project (OCP) version 2-compliant data centre infrastructure. The OCP is developing standard compute, storage and data centre hardware designs that manufacturers can use to build highly compatible and scalable products with minimal development costs. 

TE Connectivity has announced it is showcasing its broad range of products and capabilities at COMPAMED, the leading trade event for suppliers of medical technology. The event takes place 16th-19th November in conjunction with MEDICA, one of the world's largest medical trade fairs. TE's exhibit is located in Hall 8b, Booth E20.
