These filter modules provide protection for DC-DC converters against input voltage surges and spikes through the use of active circuitry. TDK Corporation has announced further investments at its TDK Lambda UK manufacturing facility in Ilfracombe, North Devon. In addition to the £1m invested into the recently opened EMC centre, the company has invested £250k in new equipment and plans a further £590k within the next nine months.

TDK Corporation has announced the introduction of the DRM40 series of DIN rail mount redundancy modules. Two 10V to 30VDC inputs are rated at 20A each and the output at 40A. A 150% peak load capability for four seconds is provided for capacitive and inductive loading. The internal MOSFET reverse current protection devices have a low 200mV drop, reducing voltage losses in the module.

The introduction of the TDK-Lambda brand DRL100 24-1/C2 DIN rail power supply has been announced by TDK Corporation. The C2 model, with a 24V output and delivering 88W of output power, is approved to meet the requirements of US NEC (National Electric Code) Class 2 in accordance with UL1310.
