Nitride precision chip resistors add 10ppm TCR capability
Stackpole has announced its AEC qualified RTAN series which utilises tantalum nitride technology to provide moisture proof precision chip resistor performance. The RTAN film passes biased humidity testing at 85°C, 85% relative humidity, and ten percent bias with very little shift in resistance. The materials and design are such that the RTAN is resistant to sulfur contamination and will pass the industry standard sulfur test ANSI/EIA-977 (Met...
Anti-surge thru-hole resistors offer high voltage pulse handling
Global resistor manufacturer, Stackpole, has announced its ASR/ASRM series anti-surge thru-hole resistors offer high voltage pulse handling and defined pulse power characteristics. From the ASRM14 1/4W size rated at 500V to the ASRM1 1W and ASRM2 2W both rated at 4KV, this series is a suitable choice for high voltage applications requiring a robust cost effective axial leaded resistor.
RNCS kits for prototyping precision anti-moisture applications
Stackpole Electronics offers engineering sample kits for their popular RNCS Series of anti-moisture thin film chip resistors. The RNCS0603BKE kit offers 20 pieces each of the 45 most popular 0603 values ranging from 49.9 ohms up to 249K in 0.1% tolerance and 25 ppm TCR. The RNCS0805BKE kit offers 20 pieces each of the 47 most popular 0805 size values from 10 ohms to 499K also in 0.1% tolerance and 25 ppm TCR. Parts are packaged in cut tape and pr...

Stackpole's RV series of radial leaded metal oxide varistors are in stock in a wide range of sizes and working voltages. The RV series is UL1449 certified and is available in sizes from 5 up to 20mm with peak current ratings up to 18,000A and energy handling up to 792J.
Melf resistors designed for harsh environmental conditions
Stackpole has recently introduced the MLFA Series of metal film melf resistors. The MLFA Series is fully AEC-Q200 compliant and offered in the 0204 (0.4W) and 0207 (1W) sizes. The MLFA has exceptional stability demonstrated over life, biased humidity, and short time overload testing. In addition, the MLFA offers pulse power handling up to 3500 watts for single short duration pulses, and lightning surge withstanding up to 6KV for resistance values...
Aluminium housed wirewound resistors offer high power
Manufacturer of resistive components, Stackpole Electronics, has announced its KAL series. A wirewound resistor technology utilising a large ceramic core moulded into an aluminium housing to facilitate heat transfer. The relatively small size to power ratio allows the KAL series to be used in conjunction with an external heat sink or other metal structure to aid in heat removal.
Flameproof through hole resistors for high power applications
A power metal film through hole resistor designed for high power and pulse power applications has been introduced by Stackpole. The RSPF series is available in power ratings from 1/4 up to 3W with one percent tolerance available. This series offers resistance values from 2.2Ω up to 1MΩ, and the coating is flame proof per UL94V-0.
