Flying prober accomodates big dimension boards
Starting with the basics and the mechanical designs associated with probe cards and their construction, the very first constraint a user may notice is the size of the cards themselves. Traditional flying probe test area sizes can be a limiting factor, so much so, the probe cards don’t even fit in the test area. To meet this requirement, Seica has developed a flying prober, named the Pilot V8 XL Next>, to accommodate boards with sizes up ...
Fully automatic rotary table system
Seica has announced a new video online, showcasing the new Compact RT Next Series, a fully automatic Rotary Table based system, suitable for medium/high volume production. The COMPACT RT, 450mm wide, has been designed to provide immediate in-line robot integration to reduce the impact of DUT LOADING/UNLOADING times.
Board test solution heads to APEX 2020 in San Diego
Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is a growing trend in electronic board manufacturing, and the latest board test solution in Seica’s Next Series, the Compact RT will feature at APEX 2020 in San Diego (February 4-6). It is designed to provide maximum productivity in any RPA scenario.
Board test solution provides maximum productivity

Pioneering frontiers of test demoed at SMTAi
Expanding lines of test and assembly equipment alongside demonstrations of new frontiers of testing are being showcased by SEICA at the SMTAi show held in Schaumburg, Illinois. The new frontiers of testing are faced daily with increasingly complex and challenging scenarios in engineering: the high component density and their presence on both sides of the boards, along with more complex circuits and lack of test points, are in contrast with the ne...
Industrial monitoring and automation at SMT
Seica plans to showcase its Factory DashBoard solution at the SMT exhibition. The company says it has been conceived with a special focus towards energy saving requirements and predictive monitoring of events, in compliance with the principles of Industry 4.0.
Flying probe tester targets prototypes, new products
Seica has just turned 30 (I’d settle for that again!) and, on the verge of its fourth decade of activity, is presenting yet another revolution in Flying Probe Test technology for electronic boards at electronica. The Pilot4D V8 HF is claimed to be the only flying probe tester able to perform frequency measurements up to 1.5GHz.
Seica at Nepcon South China
Seica’s theme at Nepcon South China will be the Pilot line and the traditional Compact line of bed of nails and functional testers integrated with Industry 4.0 concept. The Compact and Pilot lines have all of the capabilities needed for implementation in any Factory 4.0 scenario, providing the possibility to plug in any proprietary or third party information system to achieve the desired goals.
