Rittal extends its range of IT cooling solutions
Due to a repositioning of the fan within the raised floor of Rittal’s new Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC) system an increased efficiency of typically 30 per cent of fan energy consumption can be achieved.
EPLAN PLC & Bus Extension module
Total consistency from project planning with PLC programming to operation is mandatory for the engineering of flexible machine and system configurations. The PLC & Bus Extension module, an add-on from electrical design software developer EPLAN, ensures consistent data in hardware and software planning.
Rittal new 68 page catalogue shows outdoor cabinet ranges
Rittal has released a 68 page catalogue, CS Outdoor Solutions, featuring their range of outdoor enclosures, many of which are available from stock.
New Power Distribution Brochure
Rittal have released a replacement brochure for their power distribution range of enclosures, motor control centers and components. With over 140 pages of product information, technical information and system examples the Ri4Power brochure covers all applications up to 5500 A and forms of separation Form 2 – 4.
Rittal’s Electronics Catalogue now on CD
Rittal has released a CD of its popular catalogue for Electronics Enclosures and associated products. Customers faced with the size of Rittal’s Handbook 32, were demanding a more portable look up system which complemented the information available on the website.
Rittal guide rails can be varied in length
Rittal has introduced two ranges of guide rails for Printed Circuit Boards which can be made to suit any depth of PCB insertion. Utilising plastic end pieces which include a funnel entry to ease PCB insertion, the new guides can be equipped with clips to discharge static charges from the board prior to full insertion. The end pieces are simply pushed into a central aluminium section which can be varied in length to suit any application.
Rittal increases Ri4Power circuit-breaker selection
Rittal's Ri4Power low-voltage switchgear system Form 1-4 has been tested for accommodating the new circuit-breakers from Moeller, Cutler-Hammer, and Eaton. This means that the Ri4Power circuit-breaker sections are now suitable for circuit-breakers from all well-known manufacturers, including ABB, Mitsubishi, Schneider, Siemens, and Terasaki.
Preventing water ingress from underneath outdoor cabinets
We are all aware of the need to protect electrical installations from the weather, and with the increasing use of electronic equipment in external, and often remote, locations, most enclosure manufacturers provide adequate protection from the elements for the internal products.
EPLAN Data Portal has extensive collection of device and component data
One year after its launch, the EPLAN Data Portal has had 4.5 million downloads. This web-based portal delivers around 100,000 items of the latest tested and certified component and device data from numerous leading component manufacturers, thereby giving users an extra productivity boost.
RiZone – Rittal’s new IT management software
RiZone, Rittal’s new IT management software, along with Microsoft’s System Centre Operations Manager (SCOM), represents the first commercial software which extends beyond the infrastructure components and allows the power consumption monitoring of all devices enabling real energy savings to be easily achieved.
Data centre saves costs with Ri4Power
Equinix from Frankfurt, a leading provider for colocation services, has equipped its data centres with Rittal TS 8 server racks for many years. Now the data centre specialist focuses on a further Rittal domain, equipping its data centres using Rittal’s power distribution technology Ri4Power.
Award Winning Thermoelectric Cooler
Rittal’s thermoelectric coolers employ the “Peltier Effect” to provide 100 W of cooling output without refrigerants or gases and with very few moving parts. This is achieved by passing an electric charge through a two dissimilar conductors which, as discovered by 19th Century physicist Jean-Charles Peltier, lowers the temperature of the “Peltier element.” Fans are then used to circulate the cool air.
Frame facilitates internal mounting in Rittal Outdoor enclosure
Rittal has built a range of outdoor enclosures around a central stainless steel frame. This provides stability and because it is made from their standard TS 8 punched section profile, it also offers an optimal mounting for any internal fitments.
Rittal launches new modification service
Rittal has launched a new service that will allow the specification of holes, cut-outs and engraving in their extensive range of enclosures. Based in a new facility at their UK headquarters in Rotherham the service will offer a 5 working day delivery on enclosures modified to users specification using a state-of-the art machining centre.
Rittal’s Ripac allows a multitude of options
Rittal’s wide range of subracks, all branded under the Ripac banner, provide users with multiple options for housing printed circuit boards or plug-in modules in a 19” rack environment.
EPLAN Data Portal boosts project speed
Engineers need suitable component data that can be imported directly into a project. The web-based EPLAN Data Portal delivers around 100,000 pieces of the latest tested and certified component and device data from numerous component manufacturers - thereby giving users an extra productivity boost.
Rittal Equip and Cool State of the Art Data Centre
As many organisations seek to host their hardware and applications in purpose built facilities rather than investing in the high cost themselves, Data Centres have become an integral part of today’s business environment. Node4 owns and operates a portfolio of Data Centres throughout the UK which conform to the highest service levels within the commercial data marketplace. Due to their rapidly growing customer base they opened a new Data Centre,...
Rittal announce 2kW Cool Efficiency unit
Following the successful launch of Rittal’s new cool efficiency 1kW DIN EN ISO 14021 cooling unit earlier this year, Rittal has now added a 2kW unit to the portfolio. The cool efficiency products are up to 45% more economical than conventional cooling units of the same cooling output in both running costs and CO2 emissions. The units have been developed using the latest EC fan technology and incorporate the Rittal nano-coated condenser and cond...
Rittal - Plug-in modules for PSM rails
Rittal has extended its Power System Module (PSM) range to allow the power consumption of individual servers and peripheral hardware to be measured per socket. New plug-in modules for PSM rails record the individual currents for each socket and show the power consumption of the devices connected via three coloured LEDs on the right-hand side. A second LED on the left-hand side of the outgoing slots provides an overview of the overall power of the...
