Renesas expands with subsidiary in India
The launch of Renesas Electronics India Pvt. Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Renesas Electronics Singapore Pte. Ltd., has been announced by the Renesas Electronics Corporation. Located in Bangalore, India, guests from the Embassy of Japan in India, company representatives from Japan and Singapore, as well as customers and industry partners attended the opening ceremony held in Bangalore, India on April 16, 2014.

Renesas 32-bit RX CPU core features 4.0 Coremark/MHz
Renesas have today revealed the development of a new, high-performance 32-bit RX CPU core for embedded devices in the consumer, industrial, and office equipment fields. The new RXv2 core features increased performance from 3.2 to 4.0 Coremark/MHz or 2.0 DMIPS/MHz, with a maximum frequency of 300MHz in 40nm. It will also feature enhanced DSP and FPU capabilities.
