MOSFET relays support continuous loads up to 3.3 or 6.6A
Omron Electronic Components Europe has announced two high current MOSFET relays that support continuous loads of up to 3.3A AC and 6.6A DC, respectively. The G3VM-61GR2 and G3VM-61HR1 match the performance of comparable Omron electromechanical relays, and exceed that of competing solid state relay alternatives, making them suited for electromechanical relay replacement in smart meters, security, medical and industrial applications.
Photo micro sensors increase installation flexibility
Designed for applications where the detector needs to be installed in the appliance away from the main circuit board, Omron Electronic Components has launched a range of wire-mounted photo micro sensors. The 12 wire-mounted devices greatly increase the flexibility of installation and reduce assembly costs.
Omron & Digi-Key expand partnership to global authorisation
Digi-Key Electronics and Omron Corporation today announced they have expanded their engagement to now include all of Asia. “We are very excited about this global contract with Digi-Key and realise this is a great opportunity for both companies to further grow our mutual business, particularly in Asia,” said Kenji Matsunami, Company President, Electronic and Mechanical Components Company, Omron.
Miniature switches are rated for 5m operations
Rated for at least 5 million operations and switching at 300 operations per minute, two durable compact surface mount switches have been introduced by Omron Electronic Components Europe. The D2LS switches are aimed specifically at high use switching applications such as elevator switches, circuit breakers, digital pens and laser pointers.
MOSFET relays address space & signal challenges in sensing
To address the challenges of tight space constraints and low signal strength in sensing applications, Omron Electronic Components Europe has expanded its G3VM family of MOSFET relays. The company has released six relays in the VSON package alongside ultra-sensitive relays.
Gesture recognition module makes electronica debut
Omron Electronic Components Europe is to premiere its embedded face and gesture recognition module to the public at electronica. New relays and switches for smart meters, electric vehicles, renewable energy systems and general industrial applications will also be featured on Omron’s stand.
Add face & gesture recognition to embedded system
A Human Vision Component (HVC) module, which can add face and gesture recognition functionality to any embedded system, has been released by Omron Electronic Components. Handling the complexities of seeing and recognising faces, bodies and gestures, the module requires the integrator to read the data output and programme the system to react appropriately.
DC power relay interrupts 15A at 400VDC & draws just 1.2W
Interrupting 15A at 400VDC and drawing only 1.2W while switching, Omron Electronic Components has introduced a DC power relay. The G9EJ-1-E is suitable for applications including bicycle and scooter charging stations, UPSs, battery management systems, elevators, industrial robots and solar & wind generation systems.
MEMS sensors detect height differences of only 50cm
The company’s most accurate ever pressure sensor, the 2SMPB-01-01 absolute pressure sensor from Omron Electronic Components can detect height differences of as little as 50cm and provide readings relative to a perfect vacuum to ±6Pa. The sensor is suited for measuring altitude, atmospheric pressure or water depth in wearable electronics, activity monitors, industrial and marine instruments and mobile phones and cameras.
Energy-saving latching relays for lighting control
Addressing lighting control applications, Omron Electronic Components has introduced two energy-saving latching relays featuring the capacity to handle high inrush currents. The G5RL-U and G5RL-K latching relays are also suited for movement control, smart meter, power line switching and PV inverter applications.
Omron's European website goes mobile
As easy to use from a smartphone or tablet as it is from a traditional PC, Omron Electronic Components announce a new market driven website (components.omron.eu/). This website combines specific content for key vertical markets and a greatly streamlined product tree in order for customers to reach their desired data in no more than three clicks.
MEMS Absolute Pressure Sensor for Healthcare and Wearable Devices
OMRON has announced that it will release an absolute pressure sensor capable of accurately detecting 50cm altitudinal variations on July 29th 2013. By fully exploiting the latest MEMS technology, one of Omron's core competencies, the company has developed a subminiature absolute pressure meter that is among the world's most accurate and power efficient.
Omron announce DIN Track-Mounting Digital Temperature Controller
OMRON has introduced the E5DC series temperature controller. This new DIN Track-Mounting (in-panel mounting) type temperature controller is based on the E5_C temperature controller series. E5DC series features the similar high level of readability and usability of the previous series, which has been popular since its release in December 2011. The E5DC series pursues further usability for temperature control systems with HMIs and programmable cont...
OMRON introduces NX Series Safety Control Units with Integrated Safety
OMRON has today announced the release of its new NX series safety control units. The products are integrated in the Sysmac automation platform, launched in July 2011. This is a new EtherCAT-compatible modular I/O system that allows motion, standard I/O, and safety control to be integrated into machine control systems using NJ series machine automation controller.
Digital Differential Pressure Sensor For High Accuracy Monitoring
Omron Electronic Components has added a new digital flow sensor offering exceptionally high accuracy and repeatability in monitoring low air flows. The sensor is an ideal alternative to a differential pressure sensor for optimising energy efficiency in air conditioning and ventilation systems, like variable air volume and heat recovery unit systems or for use in high quality medical equipment and industrial applications.
