450kW gas cogenerator achieves 81.5% overall efficiency
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Toho Gas have jointly developed a 450kW gas cogeneration system, to be launched into the Japanese market on 1st April. The gas cogeneration system, which is based on a previously introduced 380kW system, achieves a power output of 450kW, made possible primarily through optimisation of combustion and the adoption of efficient components.
Machine forms strong LFT from glass fibres & polypropylene resin
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Plastic Technology has announced the D-LFT System, a kneading/injection moulding machine capable of forming high-strength Long-fibre-Reinforced Thermoplastic (LFT) products from glass fibres and PolyPropylene (PP) resin, all in one process. A screw shape and glass fibre feed method eliminate the need for kneaded pellets (compound), enabling manufacturing cost reductions.
PCIM 2014: Hybrid SIC modules cut power loss by 40%
Mitsubishi Electric used the PCIM exhibition in Nuremberg to launch hybrid silicon carbide (SiC) power semiconductor modules for high-frequency switching applications. These latest additions to the NFH series of power semiconductor modules enable design engineers to reduce electric power losses by 40%.
Displays offer precise operation with gloved hands
Two touch-panel displays capable of intuitive, precise operation even with gloved hands have been announced by Mitsubishi Electric. Providing excellent reliability in industrial environments, the 7.0" (19cm) wide-aspect display has WVGA resolution; while the 12.1" (30.7cm) wide-aspect screen features WXGA resolution.

Offering projected capacitive touch functionality and crystal-clear visual clarity, the AA150XT11-PCAP and AA190EA01-PCAP displays have been introduced by Mitsubishi Electric. The 15" XGA and 19" SXGA colour TFT-LCD displays both provide a high contrast ratio of 800:1, an excellent luminance of 1.200cd/m2, and up to 16.7m colours.

Mitsubishi Electric to Launch Super-mini DIPIPM Ver.6
Mitsubishi Electric announced today it will launch its Ver.6 Series transfer-molded super-mini dual in-line package intelligent power module using a seventh-generation IGBT with a CSTBT structure. The module reduces both power loss and the cost of inverter drive systems for motors used in air conditioners and other small-capacity motor drive applications. Sales begin June 21.
