Clock management ICs reduce PCB space & implementation cost
Microsemi has added three products to its portfolio of clock management solutions: the ZL30244 and ZL30245, two dual-channel any-to-any clock multiplier and frequency synthesiser ICs, and the ZL30255, a dual-channel any-to-any clock multiplier and jitter attenuator. Target applications for the devices include access networks, storage area networks, data centre infrastructure, enterprise infrastructure, and video broadcast equipment.

Microsemi has submitted an offer to acquire PMC-Sierra in a cash and stock transaction. Based on the closing stock price of Microsemi on 16th October, 2015, the transaction is valued at $11.50 per PMC share, representing a premium of approximately 50% to the closing price on 5th October, 2015, the last trading day prior to the announcement of PMC's proposed acquisition with Skyworks Solutions.

Microsemi has announced that its SmartFusion2 SoC FPGAs and IGLOO2 FPGAs have passed certification for resistance to Differential Power Analysis (DPA) in the DPA Countermeasure Validation Programme developed by Rambus Cryptography.
