Driver allows up to 10A output current without a heatsink
A flyback secondary-side synchronous rectifier driver, designated the LT8309, replaces the output diode with a MOSFET, allowing up to 10A output current without the use of a heat sink. The device, from Linear Technology, operates from a 4.5V to 40V input voltage range.
DC/DC converter extends battery life in WSNs
Designed to extend the life of a primary battery in low power wireless system networks (WSNs), the LTC3107 is a DC/DC converter from Linear. The device combines energy harvesting and power management capability with a primary battery cell to extend the battery’s usable lifetime.
SAR ADCs feature flexible differential inputs
Featuring flexible differential inputs, the LTC2323-16 is a dual 16-bit simultaneous sampling, successive approximation register (SAR) ADC from Linear Technology. This device leads a family of 16-, 14- and 12-bit SAR ADCs, featuring sample rates of 5Ms/s and 2Ms/s while achieving 81dB SNR at 16-bits, 80dB SNR at 14-bits and 73dB SNR at 12-bits.
DC/DC controller provides efficient gate drive from 2.5-60V
Designed to protect against high voltage transients and continuing operation during automotive cold crank, the LT3840 is a synchronous, step-down DC/DC controller from Linear Technology. It is suitable for applications including 12 or 24V automotive, heavy equipment, industrial control, robotics and telecomms.
DC/DC controller delivers 97% efficiency
Replacing rectifying boost diodes with high efficiency N-channel MOSFETs, the LTC3784 high power two phase single output synchronous step-up DC/DC controller has been introduced by Linear Technology. It can produce a 24V output at 10A from a 12V input at up to 97% efficiency without a heat sink.
Buck-boost supercapacitor charger for fast charging
Featuring active charge balancing for 1 or 2 series supercapacitors, the LTC3128 high efficiency, input current-limited buck-boost supercapacitor charger has been introduced by Linear Technology. The LTC3128 is suitable for safely charging and protecting large capacitors in backup power applications.
2.1A LDO+ Regulator Features Cable Drop Compensation and Monitors Current & Temperature
This video explores the LT3086, a new member of our LDO+ family. It provides many functions in addition to regulation. It can monitor and externally limit both temperature and output current, has an accurate power good output, and can compensate for wire drops between the regulator and the load. It sources up to 2.1A of output current and devices can be paralleled to obtain higher output current.
