Designed to meet exploration and operation computing needs, the Widlcat 2U rackmount server has been introduced by Kontron. Based on the KTQ77/Flex motherboard, which integrates the 3rd Generation Intel Core processor, the server offers extended temperature operation through efficient cooling.

Kontron has announced the launch of the AM4024 AdvancedMC module featuring the 4th generation Intel Core i5 / i7 processor series, ideal for high-performance computing and general multi-processor systems. Compliant to MicroTCA and AdvancedTCA commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware designs, the AM4024 perfectly serves the network requirements for media server and gateway applications, as well as test and measurement solutions.

Kontron has announced the launch of a PC that supports the Intel Gateway Solutions for the Internet of Things. The KBox A-201 mini, which uses Kontron's embedded application programming interface KEAPI, is an application-ready, machine-to-machine platform which offers IoT gateway intelligence that is highly sophisticated, standardised and easily deployable.

Designed specifically for the transportation market, the TRACe family of operational computers has been launched by Kontron. The two platforms introduced, the TRACe B304-TR and TRACe V304-TR, deliver proven, rugged and feature-rich building blocks that allow design flexibility. 

Designed for use by service providers and high volume content providers, Kontron and Vantix have launched two high performance transcoding products - Vantrix's multiscreen live transcoder and VoD (Video-on-Demand) transcoder. The products address the challenges of increasing demands of supporting multiple device screen formats ranging from connected TVs to computers to mobile handsets. 

  Kontron announce two embedded motherboards with Intel Atom processor E3800 series. These energy-efficient SoC boards in the form factors Pico-ITX and Mini-ITX excel with their outstanding graphics and powerful processor performance while consuming only a few watts.

At the 2014 embedded World conference, Kontron announced their collaboration with salesforce.com on a series of IoT and IoC applications "proof of concepts". The jointly developed concepts, running on Salesforce1, are designed to enable developers to achieve faster application implementation with minimal technology risk while helping to spark future design ideas that propel IoT advancement.

Presented at embedded World 2014, two compac COM Express families were announced by Kontron. Both families integrate Intel Atom E3800 series processors and Intel Celeron N2900 / J1900 series processors, with the company offering 16 different configuration options in this COM Express Computer-on-Module performance class.

The ultra low-power SMARC COM, with Intel Atom processor E3800 series, has been announced by Kontron. The company claims that the device is the world's first x86 SoC processor to become available on a low-profile mini-computer form factor (82 mm x 50 mm).

Kontron have announced that they have become a corporate sponsor of the OpenStack Foundation. This will, therefore, enable Kontron to offer the SYMKLOUD Series with pre-integrated OpenStack solutions.

Kontron has releases the long-term available CP3010-SA CompactPCI processor board. Equipped with the latest SoC Intel Atom E3800 processors, the new CP3010-SA quadruples the performance in the low-power class of Intel Atom processor based Kontron CompactPCI systems. Since this doesn't increase the thermal budget, this makes it an ideal drop-in replacement even for Intel Core 2 Duo processor based CPCI systems.

The Kontron OmniView monitors, a new series of durable, industrial multi-touch monitors, has been announced today by Kontron. This new series extends the scalability of the existing OmniClient panel PC portfolio towards multi-screen system solutions and solutions with distributed monitors.
